Strategy

Buffalo High Yield Fund primarily seeks a high level of income and secondarily, capital growth by investing in lower-rated, higher-yielding corporate bonds. Based on extensive experience analyzing this type of bond, the Buffalo High Yield Fund management persistently researches smaller, lower-rated companies for investment opportunities.

Investment Team

The Buffalo High Yield Fund is managed by investment professionals at Kornitzer Capital Management (KCM). The fund is co-managed by Kent Gasaway, CFA(left), Jeff Sitzmann, CFA, Paul Dluglosch, CFA and Alexander Hancock, CFA(right).

Mr. Gasaway joined KCM in 1991 and has over 27 years of investment experience. Previously, Mr. Gasaway spent 10 years with the Waddell and Reed mutual funds group. Mr. Sitzmann joined KCM in 2002 and has more than 22 years of research and management experience. Previously, Mr. Sitzmann worked at Banc One Investment Advisors, Anthem, Inc. and Duff & Phelps, Inc. Mr. Dlugosch joined KCM in 2002 and has more than 10 years of research and management experience. Previously, Mr. Dlugosch worked at Antares Capital Corporation and LaSalle National Bank. Mr. Hancock joined KCM in 2002 and has more than 10 years of research and management experience. Previously, Mr. Hancock was at ClearLight Partners, LLC and Salomon Smith Barney.
